Carla Campbell was born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1981. After years of fun in the Caribbean sun, Carla finally started to get serious about modeling in 1997 when she entered the prestigious Pulse Model Search. As she recalls, "I really wanted to succeed in the business so I took the encouraging advice of friends and family who thought I had that ‘something’ and went after it."

The best, however, was still yet to come. Carla kicked off 2006 with a coveted appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. “It was a fabulous shoot,” she said.
