Natasha Poly (birth name Natasha Polevshchikova) was born on July 12, 1985 in Perm, Russia. She is a famous Russian supermodel who was discovered at 15 years old.
Natasha first discovered after winning a model search competition in Moscow prior to her professional career beginning in 2004.
Natasha Poly is one of a contemporary Russian revolution of models leading the fashion scene and Natasha herself is one of the world’s most celebrated models.
She made a memorable appearance at the 2005 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and by 2007, in less than two years, this supple beauty had appeared in over 250 runway shows and modeled for absolutely every top designer in the fashion world from Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace etc.
Poly has appeared in many ad campaigns, including Gucci, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Roberto Cavalli, Sonia Rykiel, Nine West, and Dolce & Gabbana, and has also walked the runway for brands such as Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Gucci, Versace and Victoria’s Secret. She has been on the cover of Vogue ten times, including the editions for Russia, Hellas, and Paris, all in September 2007; the year also saw Poly as the only female model in Gucci’s “Indy” bag campaign.
In 2008, she appeared in seven ad campaigns through the fall/winter 2008-2009 season (Nina Ricci, Jill Sander, Blumarine, Balmain, Cos, Tse, and Givenchy) and opened numerous runway shows in the spring/summer 2009 season, which consequently led to her climbing into third place on the top 50 working models list on models.com. She appeared on four consecutive Vogue covers: Russia, July; Russia, August; Nippon, September; and Australia, October.
