Carmelita Mendes – Trying to stay calm, everyone has their moment. Mine came after four years of very hard work. The African theme helped, not only me, but all the black models.
FBC – You’re smiling right now, but in the shows your face is so serious. Why?
CARMELITA – To make an impression (she laughs). I have to make the sort of expression that goes with the fashions.
FBC – After SPFW, will you go to shows abroad and become the next Naomi Campbell?
CARMELITA – I’m waiting for that to happen (she laughs). I’m excited to see what it’s like.
